- 07:36 @bergann how old are "kids"? Cuz I know I was alone on the metro at like 11 or 12. #
- 08:29 @memily when that happens to me I make it go away by putting on some loud music and singing along at the top of my lungs #
- 08:44 @bergann sounds to me like on that scale no 8-year-old would ever be allowed on a bus #
- 10:06 @latvianquiet did the pain increase sharply when you went from a supine to an upright position? #
- 10:08 @latvianquiet uh...sorry if I sound a bit brisk and doctorly, I've had a lot of ear infections myself. #
- 10:10 @latvianquiet oh ow, I hate that sort. That'll be a reaction to sinus pressure. My ears tend to be sensitive to sinus stuff as well. #
- 10:11 @latvianquiet but yeah, that sounds most definitely like an infection to me. You should see a doctor and get them to give you antibiotics. #
- 10:13 @latvianquiet I heard somewhere once that having lots of ear infections throughout childhood and teen years lowers hearing ability. #
- 10:14 @latvianquiet and it made me think, "Hell, my hearing must have been frikking SUPERHUMAN at birth!" #
- 10:16 This is the first time I've listened to The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and remembered immediately who did it, it makes it really interesting. #
- 10:17 @latvianquiet that loud music stuff has GOT to be BS, my Dad hasn't lowered the volume on his music since he was 18 and his hearing's fine! #
- 10:18 @latvianquiet my Dad actually tends to turn his music up louder than I do, lol #
- 10:19 @latvianquiet the best papers I've ever written were written at the last minute. True story. #
- 10:19 @mspotamus YOU SHOULD WORK ON ART #
- 10:21 @latvianquiet ah well, concerts. Those actually will hurt your eardrums if you're too close to the speakers. #
- 10:22 @latvianquiet and yet I never remember to bring earplugs. #
- 10:24 @latvianquiet not with a period on the end, it isn't. #
- 10:33 @latvianquiet "THE END." #
- 10:36 @latvianquiet "Without her chapter, the dynamic of the book would be missing a lot of" ...oomph? That's probably not an acceptable word. #
- 10:39 @jamienarkun you make a good point. #
- 23:26 @laenij O.o I hate lying as well, and I am totally female. #
- 00:01 @apelad The French do something similar by adding "non?" to the end of normal sentences. #
- 00:10 This just in: New Amsterdam Gin is quite a good brand of gin. Definitely worth a try, especially if you're used to Tanq or Gordon's. #
- 00:12 It's a little less distinctly flavored than Tanqueray. I'd recommend it for mixing. #
- 00:14 Now of course Tanqueray is my favorite for G&Ts, I think it adds a lovely flavor, but it can change the flavor value of more complex stuff. #
- 00:16 I'd definitely recommend New Amsterdam for more complicated drinks. Also good for G&Ts if you enjoy the flavor of tonic water, which I do. #
- 00:17 Sorry I just gin-spammed you, that was really too long for tweeting. #
- 00:26 RT @Steve_Buscemi: enjoyed the new Halloween Swim Team video! Thanks HST. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiRn8mNYNbI #
- 00:39 RT @retweet: [pic] Billboard in Zimbabwe: bit.ly/mY5A #
- 01:39 RT @maddow: train stations. Where stuff like this happens *all* the time: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vq6b9bMBXpg #
- 01:46 @laenij we talking tennis shoes or dress shoes? cuz I think white keds are fine for casual stuff, but white dress shoes are weird. #
- 01:50 @laenij oh, well, CRICKET. I mean that changes everything. That's almost as bad as golf for crazy clothes. #
- 01:56 @laenij I personally feel the labor day rule isn't enough, I -never- wear white shoes. #
- 02:00 @tastypopsundae Also they require too much cleaning. It's like white carpets, I say never put white stuff on the floor. #
- 02:59 Newsflash: L Word spin-off rejected by Showtime, fans too fed up with last season to really care. #
